Fax & Cash Register Rolls

Lomond produces more than 300 types of paper rolls with a winding diameter 53 to 1,000 mm width of 37 to 1,200 mm and spindle hole diameter of 12, 18, 15.4, and 40 mm. Lomond offers a complete range of roll printer paper to accommodate many different POS systems, ATMs, fax and telex machines and numerous other applications. With its offset, thermal and single to multi-ply carbonless copy paper supplies Lomond carries leading brands including Citizen, Sharp, Fujitsu, Samsung, Omron, Sanyo and many others. All of Lomond's roll paper products are guaranteed to exceed OEM specifications.

Paper rolls manufactured by Lomond are divided into the following classes, depending on the printing technology of the machine:

  • Class “O”: offset paper roll. The image is produced by inks, directly applied to paper while printing with ink-ribbon cartridge.
  • Class “T”: thermal paper roll. The image is produced when the dyes in the topcoat of the paper are activated by the heated printing head. No ribbon is required with direct thermal printing.
  • Class “CB/CF”: double-ply self-copying paper. This is a kind of a chemically reactive copying system consisting of two tapes of paper placed one on another. The backside of the upper tape is coated with chemical material called CB or donor (Coated Back); the front side of the lower tape is coated with receptor chemical called CF (Coated Front). The chemical microcapsules in the donor layer rupture when pressure is applied by any writing instrument and react with chemical on the receptor layer to form a permanent image copy. The CB tape front side is the original. The image is produced on it with inks from the cartridge.
  • Class “SC”: single-ply carbonless copying paper coated on top (front) side with SC coating which contains a combination of CB and CF coating. The image is produced as a result of mechanical pressure. SC paper is used when printing without a ribbon (only mechanical pressure is used).
  • Class “O/SC”: double-ply self-copying paper. The image on the upper layer is produced by cartridge ink-ribbon. The copy on the lower layer is produced as a result of mechanical pressure.
  • Class “SC/SC”: double-ply self-copying paper. The image on the both upper and lower layer appears due to mechanical pressure of the printinghead.
